2 Kings For A Day?

What were we thinking??? We were just two silly young girls…

It was Valentines day many   (many many)   years ago…
My sister and I decided to make our husbands feel like
a  “King for a Day”  treating them like Royalty!

It was early in the morning as we rushed outside to decorate our car.
We named it the ”Love Limo” and it was beautiful!

Next we hurried to got all dressed up in nice little short shorts,
high heels and cute little hats.

We excitedly got in our car and drove to the house to pick up our guys.
When they saw us their jaws dropped in disbelief!

We escorted our men to the car and took them to breakfast.
Everyone in the restaurant was staring at us,
and we really played it up as we pranced down the isle.
We quickly produced two stunning “King Hats”
and placed them on our guys heads.
Of course they loved being the center of attention!

After a great leisurely breakfast we drove our “Kings” downtown
because we had another surprise all lined up.
We had booked a “Columbia Gorge River Cruise”
complete with a great meal, fine music, and beautiful scenery.

We had a fabulous time! Isn’t it great to be young and silly?

  1. The memories just came flooding back
As Valentines, we do not lack
    Imagination, that’s for sure
That day went by in such a blur

Those Kings are long over their surprise
We’ve nothing to top it, as we surmise
Yet another day we might come close
To giving them another Love dose!

    Love ya Sis!

    • Thank you Sis, didn’t we have a blast? Guess we need to think of something original to do for the special Kings in our life and surprise the heck out of them again! Love you

Isn’t that something? Beautiful memories. I never thought I had to arrange anything, so I was always waiting for what was arranged for me. This is really amazing, and a good idea actually, even though, Valentine’s day isn’t my favorite, still, the day you were having seems to be just gorgeous!

    • I am so lucky to have a wonderful sister to share these crazy things with. There was a lot more to the story than what I wrote about, but can’t talk about that! 🙂 We celebrated for a very long time. Always looking for things and ways to surprise our guys! BTW, loved pink roses.

  4. I think we should take time out to be young and silly no matter our age. Great post.

    • I agree! Isn’t it great to be able to do the un ordinary, and have the element of surprise? My Hubby is full of those kinds of surprises too! I should write about what he did one time!!! Valentine’s is a special day for us. Thank you for your comment.

  5. Oh my gosh what a great story! And the pictures are the best! I may have the file that idea away for future use 😉

    • A lot of years have gone by since then, but I still love looking back on those times. Don’t just file the idea away… try it out and don’t forget to take photos so you can share them with me! I would love to see them! 🙂

  6. What a delightful and creative idea ! Thanks visit my blog.

    • This was so fun! The hard part is coming up with new ideas all the time. The older you get the harder it is, but never give up. It keeps the marriage interesting!!! Have a delightful day!

  7. What a sweet idea and how great that your guys went along with it all. Says a lot for them too.
Thanks for spending time at my blog and for the follow. I’ve been getting more followers lately, some too weird that I really wonder what they are doing over at my site, but it is sure nice to see one actually having to do with art!

    • I don’t find many artist blogs either, so it was also nice to find yours. I found a couple of your articles very interesting, especially sweepstakes tickets. I have done that for donating to fund raisers and found it successful! Always love things involving art. Thank you for the comment. Have a fabulous day!
